UCP series housed units feature the set screw locking (UC) bearing insert. Pillow (plummer) block ball bearing units consist of an insert bearing mounted in a cast iron housing that can be bolted to a support surface. This variant is strong and stiff, and is suitable for applications with both constant and alternating directions of rotation. It has an inner ring extended on both sides and is locked onto the shaft by tightening a set screw on the inner ring, making it easy to mount. Housing designed for ease of bearing replacement.
3300 series double row angular contact ball bearings are non-separable and have a ball-loading notch on one side. It can bear large radial and axial bidirectional combined loads and moment loads mainly based on radial loads. It can limit the bidirectional axial displacement of the shaft or housing, and has better rigidity than single-row bearings. Bearings are available in open and sealed designs. Sealed bearings are maintenance-free and thus allow economical bearing arrangements.
Cylindrical roller thrust bearings can be split into thrust cylindrical roller and cage assemblies, shaft washers and races. Such bearings can withstand large axial loads in one direction, but cannot withstand radial loads, and they do not have self-aligning capabilities. Mainly used in heavy machine tools, high-power marine gearboxes, oil drilling rigs, vertical motors and other machinery.
Double direction thrust ball bearings consist of one shaft washer, two housing washers and two ball and cage thrust assemblies. The bearings are separable so that mounting is simple. The various parts can be mounted separately. The housing washers and ball and cage thrust assemblies are identical to those of the single direction bearings. Double direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads acting in both directions and can thus serve to axially locate a shaft in both directions. They must not be subjected to radial load.
Four-row tapered roller bearings have spacers for adjusting the clearance between the inner and outer rings. The performance is basically the same as that of double-row tapered roller bearings, and the bearing capacity is large. They are used almost exclusively in work roll applications such as rolling mills.
Single row deep groove ball bearings are particularly versatile, have low friction and are optimized for low noise and low vibration, which enables high rotational speeds. They accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions, are easy to mount, and require less maintenance than many other bearing types.
